Warning of fraudulent solicitation of alleged debtors of O2 Czech Republic a.s.

On 15 May 2020, EOS KSI Česká republika, s.r.o. ("EOS") recorded several emails in which EOS calls on debtors of O2 Czech Republic a.s. to pay their debts to O2 Czech Republic a.s..

In the e-mails available to EOS to date, the sender from the e-mail address eos-ksi.pohledavky@post.cz calls on the addressees on behalf of EOS to pay a claim of CZK 4895 incurred by O2 Czech Republic a.s., with the proviso that the claim has been taken over by EOS because the addressee (the debtor) has not commented on the reminder sent to O2 Czech Republic a.s. The file mark, which is mentioned, inter alia, in the subject line of the e-mail, always differs.

EOS strongly objects to these e-mail messages. These e-mail messages are fraudulent as EOS does not currently provide debt collection services to O2 Czech Republic a.s. EOS also does not use the post.cz domain email service for communication.

In this matter, EOS is considering taking appropriate legal action to prevent this activity by an unknown sender, which is aimed at harming not only individual recipients but also EOS and O2 Czech Republic a.s..
